We hate it when Murphy’s Law strikes! The tear in the passenger list is over what we believe is our ancestor’s name. We finally find out where our ancestor died and order the death record, to discover that his parents were unknown by the informant. Take heart – even those sources that are governed by Murphy’s Law may have contextual clues that can give us additional leads.
