Family History Month starts off With some great offerings for you!


Join Allison DePrey Singleton on Wednesday October 2, 2019, 7:00 p.m., Shawnee Branch, 5600 Noll Avenue, for “Food For Thought: Recipes as Memoir,” offering ideas on how to collect and preserve family recipes for future generations and to inspire your family members with stories of loved ones.


The DNA & Family History Interest Group Meetings will be led by Sara Allen Thursday October 3, 2019, 6:30 & 7:30 p.m., in the Discovery Center. Beginners meet at 6:30 p.m. and Intermediate at 7:30 p.m. Come and share questions and answers!

And on Saturday October 5, 2019, at 2:30 p.m., in the Discovery Center, Melissa Tennant helps you in “Beginning Your Family History Journey.” Join her for an introduction on how to start your adventure in discovering your family history.
